Work-based learning is intentional learning within a work context, created through purposeful relationships with employers. WBL helps students identify, refine and reach their goals, while developing and strengthen their 21st century skills. WBL happens through structured experiences in order to enhance current and future employment opportunities and develop a student's career mindset.
Students, employers and teachers team up to instill and develop the student’s critical employability attributes. Attributes including, but not limited to; critical thinking, problem solving, integrity, safety, punctuality, appearance, initiative, communication, teamwork and innovation.
